Artist: Indiya | Title: In My Own Words
Strengths
- Consistent colour scheme of pink/purple throughout whole digipak.
- Theme runs through whole digipak as a close up of her has been used in each panel.
- All information listed such as artist, title, track list, production information, record labels and barcode.
- Only two fonts used in this digipak, a fancy one with lots of swirls and a basic serif font which seems to look like Times New Roman.
Weaknesses
- The font used for the artists name is hard to read as some can't define whether it's 'Indiya' or 'Indiva'.
- The 'thank you' message was unprofessional and badly presented
- The presentation of the record label 'Sony' didn't fit in well and there was still a white background on it.
- There is a spelling error in her name in one of her social network sites, "www.myspace.com/officialindyia".
Artist: Y. Shocker | Title: Lure Of My Memories
Strengths
- Consistent colour scheme of grey throughout whole digipak.
- Theme of swirls and splats goes across the digipak.
- All information listed such as artist, title, track list, production information, record labels and barcode.
- Two clear fonts used in this digipak, a bold stencil-like one and a basic sans-serif font which seems to be Impact.
- Parental advisory badge to warn the audience and consumers about the content.
Weaknesses
- The back cover and two inner panels are plain compared to the front cover as the background are just a solid colour of grey.
- On the back cover, it shouldn't consist where the album is available for purchase. In this case, the iTunes and HMV logo shouldn't be there.
- The track list have been presented two times, giving the consumer of the product a fewer variety of things to look at other than the track list.
Artist: Stephanie Jackson | Title: Rumors
Strengths
- Consistent colour scheme of sepia throughout whole digipak.
- Theme runs through whole digipak as a close up of her has been used in each panel apart from the CD panel.
- All information listed such as artist, title, track list, production information, record labels and barcode.
- Only two fonts used in this digipak, they both seem to look like they are a handwriting or calligraphy style type of font.
Weaknesses
- The spelling of the title 'Rumors' is arguable whether it's correct or not. The American-English way of spelling it is 'Rumors' whilst the British-English way of spelling it is 'Rumours'. As she is a british artist, I believe the spelling should be 'Rumours'.
- The production information of the back cover is really small and it's very difficult to read.
- The 3 images make it difficult to tell whether they are the same person or not.
