When planning our music video we decided we wanted to use split screens as we think this will grab the viewers attention and make our video seem more fascinating. When filming our music video we had this in mind, so therefore took several different shots of the fridge scene, we done this from different angles so when we edited it we could use split screens and have it all at the same time. We also done this for another part of the song, where will have our actors doing different facial expressions in four different boxes.
Recently I was watching Beyonce’s new video to her song ‘Countdown’ and she has also included split screen and I think it works very well as it makes the video more interesting to the viewer. However clearly this is a different genre to our song so our shots will be much longer unlike her upbeat ones. Below you can see some images from the video.
